>> Review: Rock'n'roll circus
they were magicians, appearing, disappearing, appearing, disappearing. Brett was by turns clown (the Auguste one, not the white one - the way he's rocking his head just makes me laugh), tight-rope walker (gee! this wasn't much stable), bottle shooter, juggler - the catching-back maracas turn is not runningin well yet, Brett should learn from Alex Lee who's been juggling with instruments with pure perfection during all the gig.
No big surprises in the set list. Songs taken from every album (including Sci-fi lullabies) His voice was great, even if he asked the audience to sing the chorus "we'll be the wild ones, running with the dogs today", he probably could have done it. He didn't sing the 3rd verse of "can't get enough" (forgot the words?), he just started talking like a chicken rather than Buddha, and let that part go instrumental. Alex seemed to really have fun on "Animal Nitrate", Mat was in his bubble (I saw Brett laughed (or at least smiled a lot) when he turned back and saw how much Mat was IN the song, closed eyes.... Richard and Simon were perfect too. That was Suede on stage... we'll never get enough And there's people i've seen, people i thought i've seen, people i've seen in thoughts, people i wish i'd seen, but they're all the same: all beautiful ones!
