>> Review:

After many technical tweaks and the awful support bands, the evenings mood suddenly changed. A moody, wind sound effect, gradually turned into the sound at the beginning of Simon, and Alex Lee and Richard Oakes walked onstage to start the main guitar riff. Brett walked on stage and elegantly sang the song. This was followed by a superb rendition of Positivity. Next everything Will Flow and upon finishing the song Anderson said...." enough of this slow Bullshit", to which a thunderous version of Trash was played, that rocked and captivated the audience. Within the heavier section of the gig, Metal Mickey and Street Life were played leading into She's in Fashion with much audience participation.

This created a mellower sound with Lost in TV following suit!
Then it livened up again, with Electricity crunching out the PA. Can't Get Enough then began, with the drop getting closer and closer, the Corn Exchange seemed to be rattling to the core, and Beautiful Loser creating the same effect! The Golden oldies began to appear as Animal Nitrate began Anderson told us all to "masturbate our penises" which for some reason got a massive pop!
Then a roaring So young, which was well received rocked, with the crowd turning into a wave of bodies!
The Power, an unexpected but appreciated turn in mood, left the audience reflecting what they had seen so far.
An obscure acoustic version of Obsessions began, to which Brett decided that the original would be better!.........this was quite frankly a sight and sound to be reckoned with.! It was a shame to hear it end.
At this the band left the stage and with only Anderson and an acoustic guitar returning. A medley of Indian Strings, Oceans and The Living Dead, all intertwined. It sent shivers down every bodies spine! The atmosphere was tingling!
Again another change in mood and then the crowd surfing began.......Beautiful Ones pumping along with everyone in the building jumping like Zeebady from the Magic Roundabout on Acid!
This gig was quite frankly awesome. I've been to the Corn Exchange many times before, but no band I've seen created the atmosphere that they did that night......SUEDE.....best band on the earth.....I THINK SO!
