This is the end, my only friend the end...it was the end. The end station. The end of a tour. After station by station. The Final show in Copenhagen of the Green Concert caravan was over. Couldn't believe it. It has been such a fun time and now it's over. Anyway, me and Thomas got to the place - Valbyparken - by a overcrowded train. An estimated 60,000 people were at the place - the biggest audience of the whole tour. It was a beautiful day. The weather was sunny and the concert area was located by the sea. Beautiful! It was very hot in Copenhagen. Well almost too hot!

Before the show - at 16:30 - some lucky fans could meet Suede to a photo shoot by the Tuborg sponsors and have a picture taken. Of course all the die hard fans were there! At 18:10 the Rachmaninov intro was played and everybody knew (the first rows), that Suede would soon arrive on the stage. I was told by Mat later that day, that Brett's father used to hear a lot of Rachmaninov's classical music and it was Bretts solution to use the intro (first time in 1999). This time Brett was wearing a black t-shirt and black trousers and shoes - and of course the sunglasses. He looked really cool. First song was Love The Way You Love. The song would subsequently be recorded next day in a studio in Malmoe in Sweden (July 21). Accoding to some sources it would be produced by the producer of famous swedish band Kent. Suede already have recorded Attitude (in a different version than what we have heard live (according to Mat) and Golden Gun - supposed to be the next single out in October to be released before the Greatest Hit album).

back to the show: What followed was a splendid Filmstar. The band really seemed to enjoy it a lot. Brett was totally dynamic. I don't know how he managed to jump around on the stage so much. It was so hot. Quickly his t-shirt got very wet. To me the gig was the best of the whole tour.

Nothing new in the setlist. The die hard fans were hoping for more. But it's alright. We can not ask for more. Suede are played for a lot of people, all kinds, and they are not all into Suede. I would like to mention the last song Saturday Night. A sofa was brought in for Brett by the security crew as a practical joke. When he jumped off stage he sat in the sofa and sang and was lifted by the security crew. The band just laughed and had a great time. A wonderful moment in wonderful Copenhagen! Brett said: "Copenhagen is always a special place for us to play. Tusind tak". Tusind tak is danish and means "thank you".

After the show Suede left the place and headed for their Sofitel Plaza hotel near the train station in Copenhagen. Later Mat, Alex and Richie attended a specieal party at The Ideal Bar on Vega. All the die hard fans were there of course - Otsaku, Thomas, Ditte, Danielle, Katja, Monica, Yuki, Kaernen (sorry forgot your real name), Sandra, Satu, Elina, Sirje, Marie, Karina and me and two girls all the way from Spain. I would like to thank everybody travelling around to all the seven gigs. It's been very funny and wonderful! At The Ideal Bar we got very drunk - well some of us - but we had a wonderful time together with the Suede members. Brett and Simon stayed at the hotel to rest. This was the end - the tour was over!
