18 July 1994:
Bernard Butler's statement to leave Suede was out. And it wasn't a nice or easy one either. Then he had been fighting with the band for some time, and left practically without saying a single word. He got married without inviting his bandmates; later on he went back to the studio to pack up his things. This statement was out on press.

Trash was released as Suede's first single off Coming Up. It was a fresh breeze in fans' long wait for new materials. This event also saw the first days of Neil's public appearance with the band, including his first video appearance.
