positivity September 16, 2002: Positivity will come in 3 formats: CD1 includes the beautiful video for Positivity as well as One Love, at one time considered as a possible single in its own right, and the classic Simon, only previously available on last year's Lost in TV DVD compilation. CD2 features another two dazzling new songs, Superstar and Cheap, while the DVD offers Colours, Campfire Song, the video for Positivity plus bonus footage from May 4th gig.

July 21, 2002: MP3s from this album have leaked out. July 16, 2002: The whole album revealed on the amazing fanclub gig! July 8, 2002: MP3s from the 5-track promo CD (Positivity, Lost in TV, Obsessions, Beautiful Loser, Astro Girl) leaked out. July 8, 2002: Release date delayed to September 30, 2002. Positivity delayed to September 16. June 19, 2002: Release date announced: September 2, 2002. Preceding single will be Positivity in August.
June 3, 2002: Japan release date: August 17 (HMV Japan) April 19, 2002: It's revealed that the album will be titled A New Morning. This title reflects the positive, "up" mood of the record and optimistic nature of the lyrics, most evident in Positivity. Suede fanclub members will have the opportunity to hear some tracks from the album at the 10th anniversary party of The Drowners release! This party will take place at a central London location on May 4th, 2002. April 4, 2002: The word is out that the recording process finished late March, and mastering is scheduled for May 1st. The record is expected to be in stores in September. The band now are rehearsing to work out the best way to play the new songs live. Also, they have a new home on a UK label: Epic Records.
January 2002: Positivity demo was discovered in Lost in TV DVD by keen fans. Later on the official site it was announced that the track was meant to be hidden until nearer the release of the album. December 5, 2001: Nude Records went into "voluntary liquidation". Many fans worried, but Suede were said to be unaffected as they had been under Sony for some time. October 27, 2001: Suede performed a one-off concert in Coimbra, Portugal, their headlining appearance was arranged in the last minute since the free slot in the festival coincided with a break in their recording schedule. New tracks performed: Beautiful Loser and Positivity.
March 23, 2001: Shockingly Neil Codling bowed out of the band, due to his Chronic Fatigue Syndrome illness. It wasn't only a great shock for fans, but also for his bandmates. Alex Lee was drafted to take his place. March 2001: Suede turned down the offer to participate in Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the US to concentrate on the album. January 2001: Suede broadcast their studio activities on suede.net in the "In the Studio" section. Fans rushed there to watch on announced times. Tony Hoffer (producer of Beck's Midnite Vultures) stepped in.
October 23, 2000: They returned to the studio to continue recording. By then, any new Suede material was "unlikely to be released until spring 2001 at the earliest". October 21, 2000: The band premiered 9 new songs at the Iceland Airwaves Festival 2000: Oceans, You Beautiful Loser, Refugees, Lonely Girls, Untitled, You Belong to Me, When the Rain Falls, Simon, Lost in TV. July 2000: Suede have completed at least 5 full demos for this album. They were still optimistic to be able to release the album later in 2000. Brett isolated himself in Croydon, totally immersing himself in music and literature, in the process of writing the new stuff. May 2000: Suede went to a studio in Hastings to work on a series of demos.
