I have seen suede live a few times and they have been fantastic. the best
concert was at the Roskilde festival 4 July 1999.
My biggest exsperince happend on a rainy sunday afternon in London when I
actually bump into Neil. He was so lovely and nice, he was orange in the corner
of his mouth like when you eat carrot. Me and my friend asked if we could take a
photo, he said yes, he even moved his shopping bags away and I got my piture
taken of me and him beside eachother. I also wanted a autograph but neither of
us had a pen-how sad. We said goodbye and thanx and went away. Afterwards I was
a bit sorry that I didn't say anything you know what a change, but I wasn't
exactly repeared that I would meet him.

Er...well, it wasn't ACTUALLY a real encounter
but however, I DID saw the band live in
Melbourne last year. I was standing at
the front row, right on front of Richard.
ANd during the break of one song,
'cos it was early October, I shouted at
the top of my voice, "Richard, happy b'lated
birthday!!!", but of course he didn't hear
me...or did he? Anyway, I never know, but
my feelings keep drifting sround until now
'cos at some point during the break while he
was minding his guitars and all, his eyes
darted around the room, and IF I'm not mistaken,
he saw ME! Our eyeas met for a split second,
and even though he probably would never know
I existed, that VERY moment, I knew he saw
me. Well, that was the one and only pathetic
(eye) contact I've ever had w/ my Suede
angel, Richard. Maybe he spotted me, maybe
he didn't, but then again, I'll never know!
And I don't really care, 'cos that moment
-regardless of whether it WAS a contact or
not- was the moment of TRUTH, at least
for me. Our eyes DID meet, although he
didn't never took it seriously.

It was the summer of '95. I was at the Phoenix Festival (Straford upon Avon). There was a pre show signing event that you had to line up for and then got to smooze your way past the band members. Normally I'm very adept at these sorts of situations, but at the sight of Brett, inches away, signing a picture of him for me, saying my name, cheers Nadine, oh lord, I could barely squeak out thank you. After I bullied my way front and centre to hear them rock out with their cocks out. I've the pics, but no scanner. It was a bit too organized of a meeting, and not terriblely personal. but you won't hear me complaining!

I went to see the guys play Iceland and whilst waiting to go home at the Airport departure lounge the whole band and management team walked in, I had them all too myself! I got signatures etc and the guys remebered me from previous encounters saying' not you again' (simon). Brett got his money stuck in a vending machine so i helped him unjam it! He then blamed me becuase the fruit drink tasted 'bloody awfull' , I have a picture so check it out! I had a London A-z (small booklet with street names in) the band all signed it and Neil said that every band member had a street named after them, its true I checked it. Anderson road, gilbert st, etc....
It was agreat experience and it lasted for about 45 minutes!! I just kept going over to simon, then brett then over to neil etc...
Theres loads of pics so just get in touch with me!

Bristol 2001 Poetry Slam.
Chatted to Brett after the show . We discussed the Pink Floyd Album 'Animals' as this is a favourite album of mine and brett likes it.
Lowrentglamour: "Brett, I hear youve been listening to 'Animals',"
Brett: "Yeah...."
LRG " I love that album its an all time classic"
Brett " especially that cover....with the power station"
LRG " I know.....its brilliant....I went round there with my camera....jumped over the security fence....(brett grins at me)...i got chucked out"
Brett : carries on grinning
LRG "We called round to your dads.."
Brett " Oh what did he say?"
LRG "Just told us a few secrets...."
Brett "oh like what"
LRG "not much....just that thing about the nature reserve...that gap in the fence by your house"
Brett " was he alright?"
LRG " he mad your father!"
Brett smiles......." I got to go and see someone"
Saunters off into the back stage door.

I met Benard at an in-store acoustic set and record signing at the Virgin Megastore in Hollywood. It was on the "People Move On" tour, and the signing was the day of his final US date later that night. He seemed happy to be with us, performed three songs ("People move On," "Not Alone," and "Stay") and was great during the signing. I mentioned to him I had not seen him live since his last LA appearance with suede five years earlier, and he seemed impressed that he had such longterm fans in the states.
That night at the show, he started out fine, but was quickly thrown off by an idiot in the crowd who kept yelling. Between the opening song ("Autograph") and the second ("People Move On"), he said something like "In England someone would have punched him out by now." The man was ejected, but Bernard was not the same for the rest of the show. Obviously, the fans enjoyed themselves (how often do we get the chance to see him here?) but he was angry, and told a radio interviewer the next day that he was very disappointed the tour ended on a sour note.
